adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - 86
RESOLUTION APPROVING METROPOLITAN LIVABLE COMMUNITIES ACT
HOUSING ACTION PLAN AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF PLAN TO
THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, City Council Resolution No. 2010 -120 approved the City's continued
participation in the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Local Housing Incentives Account; and
WHEREAS, submission of a Housing Action Plan to the Metropolitan Council to
provide implementation of the City's Housing Goals, pursuant to Resolution 2010 -120, is a
requirement of continued participation in Metropolitan Livable Communities Act programs; and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared a Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Housing
Action Plan for Council consideration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Housing Action Plan and has
determined it is in the best interest of the City of Brooklyn Center to continue to participate in the
Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Local Housing Incentive Account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City of Brooklyn Center Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Housing
Action Plan is hereby accepted and approved.
2. Staff is hereby directed to submit the Housing Action Plan to the Metropolitan
Council as per the requirements of the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kay Lasman
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, and Dan Ryan;
and the following voted against the same: none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
