RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -97
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BY THE CITY
COUNCIL ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE TAX
INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING
DISTRICT NO.2
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council ") of the City of Brooklyn Center,
Minnesota (the "City "), as follows:
Section 1. Public Hearing This Council shall meet on August 8, 2011, at approximately 7:00 P.M., to
hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment of the Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment
Financing District No. 2 (the "Modification"), all pursuant to and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes,
Sections 469.090 to 469.1082, and Sections 469.174 to 469.1799, inclusive, as amended, to amend the budget
for the Tax Increment Financing District.
Section 2. Notice of Public Hearing, Filing of Modification City staff is authorized and directed to
work with the City's consultants to prepare the Modification and to forward the same to the appropriate taxing
jurisdictions including Hennepin County, Independent School District No. 286 (Brooklyn Center) and
Independent School District No. 281 (Robbinsdale). The City Clerk is authorized and directed to cause the
Notice of the Public Hearing attached hereto as Exhibit A, together with an appropriate map as required by
law, to be published at least once in the official newspaper of the City not later than 10, nor more than 30, days
prior to August 8, 2011, and to place a copy of the Modification on file in the City Manager's office at City
Hall and to make such copy available for inspection by the public.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, and Dan Ryan;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
