Adjournment I r E CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS Item 5 Declare Surplus Property We will be prepared, Monday evening to recommend that a list of obsolete equipment items be declared surplus property to be disposed of in the best interests of the City. Iisposition Item 6 Acknowledge Claim I will be prepared Monday evening to present a claim notice filed against the City' in connection with losses allegedly incurred by claimants in the amount of $6,000. L i sposition Item 7 Establish Board of Review Sch3dule It is recommended that the City Council agree upon an Assessment Board of Review date to rev w current property valuations. It i s recommended that the City Council consider June 8 , 1976 , thereby allowing maximum time for 'ie City Assessor to perform his duties while complying with the Jui 10 deadline for Board of Review meetings. Disposition Item 8 Acknowledge Receipt of Qvirter Petition Charter Commission Chaim. an Henry Dorff will present a Charter a mendment petition to the C'ty Council Monday evening. Disposition Item 9,3 Expressing Appreciation for service The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of acknowledging the services rendered by Mr. Leon Knight on the Bicentennial Commission. Disposition CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS' Page 2 Item 9b Awarding Bid The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of awarding a bid for a used pneumatic roller for which 'funds are appropriated in the 1976 budget. Disposition Item 9c Authorizing Tennis Court Lighting Agreement The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of authorizing a tennis court lighting agreement with the Brooklyn Center School District. Disposition Item 10a Amending Chapter 35 Relative to Rezoning 6437 Brooklyn Boulevard The attached ordinance was first read on March 22, 1976, published on April 1, 1976, and is offered this evening for 'second reading and adoption. t _ Disposition i Item 10b Amending Chapter 35 Relative to Side Yard Setbacks for Corner Lots The attached ordinance is intended to address the matter of yard setbacks for corner lots in those areas of the City that have been generally developed in compliance with an old 15 foot` setback standard. The proposal has been reviewed by the Planning Commission at its meeting of April 15 Disposition Item 10c Amending Chapter 35 Relative to Rear Yard Setbacks The attached ordinance draft addresses the matter of rear yard setback requirements in residential districts. The ordinance proposal was reviewed by the Planning Commission at its meeting of April 15. Disposition CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS Pa ge 3 Item 10d Amending Chapter 35 Relative to Substandard Residential Lots The attached ordinance is intended to address the matter of numerous substandard width lots which exist in the older parts of the City.; The ordinance proposal was reviewed by the Planning Commission at its meeting of April 15 Disposition Item 11a' City Council Discussion of Ordinance Initiative Petition At its meeting of March 22, 1975 the City Council received the City Clerk's certification of an ordinance initiative petition and moved to defer the matter to Monday evening for Council discussion of the proposed ordinance. The City Attorney was requested to evaluate the various aspects of the ordinance petition and will be prepared to present his evaluation Monday evening. The City Charter provides that the City Council must; subsequently provide for public hearings upon the proposed ordinance and thereafter either adopt the ordinance as proposed, adopt it in an amended form with the consent of the petitioners, or submit the proposed'` ordinance to special election.
