Disposition Item 6 Approve Minnesota Health Department. Agreement I will be prepared Monday evening to recommend appro al of an agreement wherein the Minnesota Health Departmennsfer* to the City of Brooklyn Center its licensing authority arid related fees in return for City inspection services at certain establishments. Disposition Item 7a Baerg`s Second Addition Preliminary approval of Baerg's Second Addition was granted at the May 24, 1976 City Council meeting. Disposition Item 7b Swanco Terrace Addition Preliminary approval was granted JSwanco Terrace Addition at the May 24, 1976 City Council meeting. Disposition Item 7c Mayo Addition Preliminary approval of Mayo Addition was granted at the May 24, 1976 City Council meeting. Disposition CITY -A14 AGERBS COMMENTS Page Item 8 Approve Neighborhood Master Development Plan At its Tune 28 meeting the City Council tabled consideration of the neighborhood master development plan for the area between Bryant and Lyndale Avenues North from 68th Avenue North to 69th Avenue North. The Director of Public Works will be prepared to answer any further questions regarding the proposed master plan which has been previously approved by the City Planning Commission. Dispositions Item 9 Planning Commission Chairman Presentation Planning Commission Chairman Robert Foreman has requested an opportunity to make a presentation to the City Council this evening. Disposition Item 10 Planning Commission Application No. !f6dl I submitted by Dr.. Robert Schell At its Tune 28 6 1 976 meeting the City Council tabled Application No. 76011 submitted by Der. Robert Schell for further review by the City Attorney and the Planning Commission. The item is placed on this evening's agenda in anticipation of the Planning Commission's consideration of the matter at its July 8 meeting. Dispositio Item Ila Commending Public Service The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of commending the public service contributed by Hunan Rights Commissioner John Martinsen. Disposition Item 1 lb Accepting Quotations for Repair of Pump at Deep Well No. 6 The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of accepting quotations and awarding a contract for the repair of the pump at deep well No. 6, which is located at 1207 - 69th Avenue North. The repair consists of replacing certain columns, rubber bearings ® and line shafts which have been removed for inspection Disposition CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS Page Item llc Accepting Quotations for Bailing Sand at Deep Well No. 6 The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of accepting quotations and awarding a contract for bailing sand from deep well No. 6 in order to recover approximately 25% of its pumping capacity lost to sand accumulation. Disposition Item 11d Requesting Metro HRA to Apply for Rehabilitation Grant Funds The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of requesting the Metro HRA to apply to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for Housing Rehabilitation Grant Funds on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center. I will be prepared Monday evening to further explain the program. Disposition Item 1 l Requesting Installation of Bridge Fencing The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of requesting the Minnesota Highway Department to install protective fencing on the bridge railings at Xerxes Avenue North over FAI -94 and at County Road No. 10 over T.H. 100. Disposition item 12a Amending Chapters 1S and 25 Relative to Size of Single Family Lots in an R--2 District The attached ordinance amending Chapters 15 and 35 was first read on June 14, 1976, published on June 24, 1976 and is offered this evening for second reading and adoption. Disposition Item 12b Amending Chapter 6 of the City Charter The attached ordinance amending Chapter 6 of the CVcy Charter has been recommended by the City Charter Commission. Disposition Item 13b City Attorney "s Report on Fire Chief Appointment Procedures The City Attorney will be prepared to report on the Fire Chief appointment procedures as requested by the City Council. Disposition Item 13c Park Policy Plan Review The Park and Recreation Advisory Commission has developed,, and conducted public hearings upon, and favorably recommended to the Council a Comprehensive Park Policy Plan. The Comprehensive Park Policy Plan is intended as the foundation for decision making regarding City park development and services. It is recommended that the City Council commence a review of the policy plan leading to public hearing and eventual adoption of the policy plan in its recommended or amended form.' Disposition Item 13d Human Rights Commission Position on Transportation Accessibility The Human Rights Commission on June 16, 1976 adopted a resolution expressing the Commission philosophy on transportation accessibility for the handicapped.
