CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS
Item S Authorize Subdivision Bond Reduction
Inspection reseals -that subdivision work associated with the West
River Estates development has been completed to the extent of
$58,000 out of a bonded obligation amounting to $68,000. It is,,
therefore, recommended that the City Council acethorize a reduction
in - the financial performance guarantee for West River Estates Addition
from $68,000 to $10,000.

Item 6 Approve 1vMTC Bus Routes
The Metropolitan Transit Commission Operating Division is seeking
concurrence with a proposed bus route traversing Brooklyn Center
streets. The Director of Public Works will be prepared Monday
evening to outline the proposed route extension and will relate
the proposed route extension to the overall ridership improvement
proposals sponsored by the MTC.

Item 7a Authorizing Agreement with Metropolitan Council for Section 8
Assistance Program
The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of authorizing
'the Mayor and -City Manager to execute an agreement with the Metro -
politan Council: wherein the City agrees to furnish inspection services
for the Section 8 Housing Assistance Program. I will be prepared
Monday evening to explain - the provisions of the proposed agreement.

Item 7b Awarding Seal Coat Aggregate Bid
Bids are being opened Monday, July 26, for seal coat aggregate,
the bids for which being earlier rejected by the City Council on
May 3, 1976, Following the bid opening a resolution will be
presented to the City Council Monday evening for consideration.

Item 7c Establishing Deep Well No. 8 Improvement Projects

The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of establish -
ing the various projects relating to the construction of a new
municipal well designated as well No. 8 to be located on Camden
Avenue North approximately 300 feat south of 73rd Avenue. The
new well is an element of the `master development plan for the
municipal water system.

or amended form.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 35 RELATIVE TO REZONING
PROPERTY FROM I -2 TO C -2 AS COMPREHENDED BY APPLICATIONS
NO. 76009 AND NO. 76020
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Section 35 -1210 is hereby amended, in part, as follows:
That area bounded by the following: The north line of the south half of Section 10
on the north; the northerly right -of -way line of State Highway No. 100 on the east
and south; Azelia Avenue (and Azelia Avenue extended) on the west.]
Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Block 1, Dale and Davies 1 st Addition.
Section 2. Section 35 -1190 is hereby amended by the addition of the
following; `
Lots 8 through 18, inclusive, of Block 1, Lakebreeze Addition.
That area described as: The South 33 feet of the North 233.62 feet of that part of
the East 1,013.17 feet of the South 31.28 acres of Government Lot 3 lying west
