Item 5. Fire Relief Association Investment
It is recommended that the Council approve a estments made
by the Brooklyn Center Fire Relief Ass `0.1 on s set forth in the
attached letter.

The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of amending
a segment of the walkway network., The Director of Public Works
will be prepared to describe and support the recommendation Monday
evening.

Item 11a. Proposed Change in Metropolitan Sewer Cost Allocation
The Director of Public 'N ork.t will be prepared to report on the
current status of the change in metropolitan sewer cost allocations
We will be prepared Monday evening to recommend - some action to
be taken in response to the cost allocation change.

The Director of Public Works is prepared to report on the concept of
joint water treatment facilities with the City of Brooklyn Park.

The Director of Public Works will be prepared to explain the features
of the water distribution and storage study recently completed by
Black & Veatch, consulting 'engineers retained by Brooklyn Center.

Item IId. Civil Defense Emergency Plan
For the past few months, state and federal civil defense authorities
have been urging that Brooklyn Center's civil defense emergency
plan be updated. The emergency plan, last modified in 1965, has
been redrafted for review and recommended adoption.

A Special Board Meeting of the Brooklyn Center Fire.
Department Relief Association was held on aeDte=bsr 18,
1972. The follo4ing mcommendations were lade and approved,
Treasurer William F6nnay was authorized to purchase $10,000
of Banks for Cooperatives Denbenturea at V-0- interest rate of
5 *4% which will matur°o April 2, 1973. Co:;t of this purchase

AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO LICENSING AND REGULATING THE
SUNDAY SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQU
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Or BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Chapter 11 of the City Ordinances is hereby amended by
the addition of the follow tng:
