Member Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION !,NO. 2011 -131
RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE
2012 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center is the
governing body of the City of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that a preliminary budget be
adopted for funds using property tax revenues along with the adoption of the preliminary
property tax levy; and
WHEREAS, a preliminary property tax levy of $ 14,218,823 has been
proposed for adoption the basis for the budget proposed herewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the following amounts be adopted as the preliminary budget for
property tax supported funds appropriated! as follows:

Sales Tax — Lodging Tax Gross Receipts 710,000
Licenses & Permits 635,567
Intergovernmental Revenues 844,315
General Government Service Charges 218,050

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, and Dan Ryan;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
