NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Please take notice that the Planning Commission of the City of Brooklyn Center will hold a public
hearing on Thursday July 14, 2011 at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek
Parkway to consider the petition described below:
TYPE OF REQUEST: Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment
PETITIONER: Loren Van Der Slik
PROPERTY NAMED IN THE PETITION: 1108 Brookdale Center
BRIEF STATEMENT OF CONTENTS OF PETITION:
The proposed Planned Unit Development Amendment to the 2011 Shingle Creek Crossing PUD
has been submitted by Loren Van Der Slik on behalf of Gatlin Development Company, Inc. and
includes the following revisions:

1. The physical separation of the existing retail mall /food court building from the existing
Sears retail store building;
2. The elimination of proposed Building N from the 2011 Shingle Creek Crossing PUD
plan; and
3. The addition of a 6,000 sq. ft. restaurant pad site to be labeled Building R along with a
new platted lot.
Auxiliary aids for persons with disabilities are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Please take notice that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center at its meeting on Monday,
September 12, 2011 will consider the petition described below. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
in the City Hall Council Chambers, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway. A definite time for this petition to
be considered cannot be given as it will depend on the progression of the agenda items.
