CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS
Item 5 Establish Board of Equalization Meeting
Section 7.04 of the City Charter provides that the City Council
shall constitute a Board of Equalization to equalize assessments
of property for taxation purposes. This is an annual obligation.
It is recommended that the Council establish June 9, 1975,
7:30 p.m as the date and time .for the Board of Equalization
meeting.

The attached resolution is recommended for the purpose of awarding
bid for concrete pipe needs.

Item 8a Housing Maintenance Code
A number of proposed changes to the Housing Maintenance and
Occupancy Code were referred to the Housing Commission for
review and comment. The Commission has had an opportunity
to hear and consider the proposals on April 16 and 29,and a staff
memorandum has been prepared for consideration by the Commission
and the City Council. It is recommended that the Council review
the proposed changes and order implementation of those which will
have the effect of improving the adopted ordinance

are not hard surfaced shall be replaced with bat air
bituminous asphalt surfaeiag to the property: 11114'.
b) The cost of the bituminous driveway m inus the cost of
sod restoration for an equivalent area shall be
individually computed and added to the uniform assess-
moat rat* for the specific property involved.

a driveway width to suit his garage situation and/or
parking needs.
