moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -149
RESOLUTION SUMMARIZING THE EVALUATION OF THE CITY
MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City Manager is under an employment contract with the City of
Brooklyn Center entitled CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, dated as of
September 25, 2006 ( "Employment Agreement "); and
WHEREAS, Section 4 of the Employment Agreement provides for periodic
evaluation of the City Manager's performance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted an evaluation of the performance of the
City Manager at a special meeting, in closed session, on October 26, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 13D.05, Subd. 3 requires that when a public body closes
a meeting to evaluate the performance of an individual subject to its authority, the public body shall,
at its next open meeting, summarize its conclusions regarding the evaluation.
NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota:
1. The summary of the conclusions of the City Council regarding the
evaluation of the performance of the City Manager is as follows:
The City Council evaluated the performance of City Manager Curt Boganey.
The Council reviewed the manager's performance in the following
categories: relations with the City Council; planning; organizational skills;
budget and finance; community relations; personnel relations; management
skills; leadership; and enforcement of the City Charter and City Code. The
Council expects its manager to perform at a high level of competence in all
of those areas, and it determined that Mr. Boganey has met or exceeded
Council expectations in every category.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, and Dan Ryan;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
