Member introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF DECEMBER 6, 2011, MUNICIPAL
SPECIAL PRIMARY ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City Council has met for the purpose of canvassing the election
returns of the municipal special primary election for the office of Council Member to fill vacancy in
term expiring January 7, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that it is hereby determined by official canvass that Lin Myszkowski and Mark
Yelich received the highest number of votes in the December 6, 2011, municipal special primary
election and are declared to be the nominees for the office of Council Member to fill vacancy in term
expiring January 7, 2013.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center
that the City Cleric is directed to place the names of the nominees on the January 24, 2012, special
election ballot.
