HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-166 CCR Member Dan Ryan_. introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -166 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INTERFUND TRANSFER WHEREAS, application was made on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center under the Federal Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP) for reimbursement of a portion of marginal costs incurred by employees resulting from premium changes brought on by inclusion of retirees in the medical insurance program of the City; and WHEREAS, said application resulted in a reimbursement under the ERRP program of $ 138,271.35; and WHEREAS, said funding is recommended to be reserved for use in reducing future years' premium increases for City employees as is permitted by the ERRP program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the $ 138,271.35 in proceeds received from the Federal ERRP program be transferred from the Payroll Fund where it is currently being held to a segregated Special Revenue Fund for use by the City in reducing the impact of future medical insurance premiums on employees.
