Car Show:
Nerburn said the car show lost money last year partly because the flyers
are not getting out. They have a new president who guarantees the flyers will get out. The
club would like to move back to the Heritage Center because at Brookdale people were
climbing over the bar to avoid paying. After talking to Bergeland, they determined the EBHC
would cost too much. He ran into Mayor Kragness at Brookdale and she said the Council did
not take EBD into consideration. She suggested the committee submit a letter to the City
Council. Nerburn said they could charge $3 from spectators. In conjunction with the show,
they could run a car swap and a swap meet.
Hall Of Fame:
Kuefler said there will be no Hall of Fame nominees for this year.
Ice Cream Social:
McCarthy said that as of December 16, Brookdale has a new owner. They
will take the first quarter to evaluate things. She said Brookdale would be open to having the
ice cream social on Friday instead of Wednesday. There was a motion by Youngberg,
seconded by Ditty to move the ice cream social to Friday, June 27. Motion carried.
Junior Ambassador:
Graham said the committee has been very busy. They did a
newspaper stuffing and earned $150. They will be hosting a Valentines Dance and having a
garage sale. They received a donation from the U.S. Navy Recruiting office for $1,000. They
would also like to raise enough money for a generator and a sound system for the float.
