Meeting Minute
June 10, 1997
PRESENT:
Kuefler, Zastrow, Dorff, Holcomb, Ditty, Roen, Graham, Youngberg, Cohen and
LaCrosse. The meeting was called to order at 7:34 a.m. by Dorff.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
There was a motion by Zastrow, seconded by Ditty to approve the
minutes of June 3, 1997 Motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT
: Zastrow reported a financial balance of $9,208.94 in checking and $7,500
in a CD as of June 10, 1997.
Dorff suggested a second letter be sent to businesses who did not respond to the first letter. Cohen
brought a draft of a second letter.
Roen made some contacts but said they all said requests must come from the main office. Dorff said
there is almost a standard letter. Ditty has Target. Who has Tires Plus?
Arts & Crafts Fair:
Holcomb reported she has five more. She will be working on the floor plan.
Car Show:
Ditty said Nerburn has asked him to help in the morning. No report from Nerburn.
Finance:
Cohen said there have been $3,850 so far. This is a good response.
Ice Cream Social:
No Report.
Junior Ambassador:
Graham said there are 12 official candidates. Judging begins next week.
Kids Fishing Contest:
All Set.
Parade:
Ditty said there are 14 bands. They will turn left on 67th Ave. The judging will be at 61st
& Dupont.
Picnic/Games:
Dorff said there have been 29 businesses that have contributed so far with about
$1,200 worth of donations.
Publicity:
No Report.
10K & 2 Mile:
Youngberg said they are a little behind in fundraising.
A Day At The Farm:
Kuefler said there will be a dedication of the plaque in the Heritage Center at
12:30 p.m.. It has been donated by Dr. Orn. A police officer will be there from Noon - 5 p.m. Insurance

still needs to be worked out.
Safety Day:
No Report
Payment of bills:

City of Brooklyn Center Postage 47.93
City of New Brighton Junior Ambassador activity 35.20
There was a motion by Ditty, seconded by Holcomb to pay bills. Motion carried.

Tuesday, June 17 7:30 a.m., Conference Room A at City Hall.
