There was a motion by Nelson, seconded by Cohen to pay these bills. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
LaCrosse said she received a fax from Annette of the Brooklyn Park Tater Daze
festival. Beginning in 2002, their festival will be in direct conflict with ours. LaCrosse said Annette called
her on October 5, 2000 and asked her if we would consider switching dates. LaCrosse told her they could
not switch dates because of the Dudley Softball Tournament. Annette said she would set up a meeting with
Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Fridley, and possibly Maple Grove festival representatives. However, in the
faxed letter, Annette said the BPCO adopted such and such dates for Tater Daze on October 4, 2000. The
dates were already adopted when Annette called LaCrosse. Copies of her two faxes were sent to Henry
Dorff and Phil Cohen. Based on the dates of the Dudley Tournament, the EBD board of directors determined
there are no alternative dates to switch to and that we would keep our original dates. If further action needs
1
to be taken, we will wait until Henry Dorff returns.
Cohen asked that we discuss the possibility of changing our meetings to evenings. A few people have
indicated they would like to get involved but morning meetings are impossible to attend. LaCrosse will add
this discussion item to April’s meeting agenda.
Since there are no pressing issues, there will not be a March meeting of the Board of Directors.
NEXT MEETING:
Tuesday, April 24, 7:30 a.m. in Conference Room A.
ADJOURN:
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 a.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sue LaCrosse,
City Liaison
