Meeting Minutes
June 19, 2001
PRESENT:
Phil Cohen, Councilmember Ed Nelson, Henry Dorff, Karen Youngbert,
Cathy Ballot, Tony Ditty, Toni Johns, Sue LaCrosse.
Henry Dorff called the meeting to order at 7:33 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
There was a motion by Tony Ditty seconded by Cathy Ballot to approve the minutes of June 12, 2001.
Motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Cathy Ballot reported a balance of $7,793.18 in checking plus the CD’s.
Arts & Crafts Fair:
Toni Johns reported that several more people have signed up for the arts &
crafts fair and she has room for more. She asked if there were clipboards and Sue LaCrosse indicated yes.
Budget/Finance:
Phil Cohen said we should talk to Henningson about what the reserve is all
about. He would like the board to adopt a policy as to when we dip into the reserve. This would serve as
guidelines so that when some of us are no longer at the table, they will know what the purpose is and how it
should be released.
Family Fun & Games:
Toni Johns handed out a list of Rotarians that will help at the Family Fun &
Games and the Arts & Crafts Fair. Henry Dorff has more volunteers such as Warren Lindquist. Henry’s
crew will begin set up at 12:30 p.m. He would like a poster with the list of businesses that have contributed
and about 200 flyers with the contests listed on them.
Ice Cream Social:
No report.
Kid’s Fishing Contest:
No report.
Music/Fireworks:
No report.
Parade:
Tony Ditty said it looks good. He said the police department is ready. The
neighbor letters are out. We have between 85-90 units with 6 bands.
Publicity:
Sue LaCrosse brought examples of the tabloid and the flyer insert that went out to Crystal
residents. She said the display ads will appear in the Variety Section of the Star Tribune this week.
Tennis Event:
Henry Dorff talked to Ab Johnston and everything is in order.
Teen Event:
No report.
Youth Golf Tournament:
Sue LaCrosse reported they have 56 participants, which is their maximum.

NEW BUSINESS:
None.
PAYMENT OF BILLS:
Horizon Pro sound PA system parade & Family Fun & Games $225.00
There was a motion by Tony Ditty, seconded by Karen Youngberg to pay these bills. Motion carried.
NEXT MEETING:
Tuesday, July 31, 7:30 a.m. in Conference Room A.
ADJOURN:
There was a motion by Tony Ditty, seconded by Cathy Ballot to adjourn the meeting. The
meeting was adjourned at 8:15 a.m.
