David Galchutt, Tony Ditty, Karen Youngberg, Henry Dorff and Sue LaCrosse.

Financial Report:
Cathy Ballot reported a checkbook balance of $1,934.09. With the two CD’s there is
a balance of $13,894.42. She has received a deposit of $2,050.
Arts & Crafts Fair:

there were six inquiries yesterday. Northwest Family Services Collaborative will be the service organization
this year. They serve Anoka, Osseo, and Brooklyn Center. It is a federally funded program. They do a lot of
things for kids. They will put up a display. There is room for another food vendor. Toni Johns has a vendor
possibility.
Budget/Finance:
Phil Cohen presented a donation check for $450 from Rotary. He said special letters
were sent to the anchor stores at Brookdale. Bremer Bank has increased their donation from $500 - $1,000
this year. Phil Cohen is making personal contacts this year. He said the business community is hurting too.
The cuts have affected social programs, schools and cities. His philosophy is to ask the business community
for only what is needed. If we do not get the Lions support next year, the parade is in jeopardy. If we don’t
get the city contribution next year, the parade is in jeopardy. After this Earle Brown Days, we will assess our
resources, talk to the Lions and figure out what we need. Then try to find the resources.
Kathleen Carmody said in Robbinsdale they put out coffee cans at local businesses during Whiz Bang Days.
Phil Cohen said Robbinsdale has a main street. Tony Ditty and Karen Youngberg said many of the businesses
need the information by September in order to budget for it the following year. Phil Cohen said we could
possibly do another solicitation letter late summer asking people to put in their 2004 budget. He said he
would try to find some key folks. This discussion will be continued after the 2003 Earle Brown Days.
Family Fun & Games:
Henry Dorff said he would have the same set up as last year. Hopefully we will
get more participants. Toni Johns will recruit workers at Rotary today. Phil Cohen said he already has some
sign ups.
Ice Cream Social:
Nothing new to report.
Insurance:
Sue LaCrosse said it looks like the insurance will cost around $1,400 this year. The
insurance agent is trying to get a little better price.
Kid’s Fishing Contest:
Toni Johns husband, Leo and Tony Ditty will take the fish off the hooks.
Music/Fireworks:
Sue LaCrosse said she received the picture of the band for the tabloid. She
said there is a discrepancy on the time. We have been advertising 7-10 p.m. and the band had 6-10 p.m. on
their poster. Phil Cohen said that is not a problem.

Parade:
Tony Ditty reported that the parade was coming along very nicely. The Minnesota Twins
mascot needs a vehicle. Sue LaCrosse questioned the $240 fee from the judges association for judging float
competition. Tony Ditty said there floats would still be judged but only given trophies. There was a motion
by Karen Youngberg, seconded by Kathleen Carmody to approve payment of $775.00 for the judges
association. Motion carried.
