Meeting Minutes
June 20, 2006
PRESENT:
Cathy Ballot, Nancy Doucette, Shelley Klaessy, Karen Youngberg,
Phil Cohen, Ritchie Miller, Mike Meyer, and Sue LaCrosse.
Karen Youngberg called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
There was a motion by Nancy Doucette, seconded by Shelley Klaessy
to approve the minutes of the June 13, 2006 meeting. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Cathy Ballot reported $22,192.78 with three outstanding checks of
$285 for Kentco Signs, $1,107 for insurance premium, $76.89 for Trophies By Linda. There was also a
deposit of $395 for the pancake breakfast. The balance in the checkbook is $21,118.89. There was a motion
by Nancy Doucette, seconded by Mike Meyer to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
BUDGET/FINANCE:
Sue LaCrosse reviewed the budget worksheet. She said we should not have to
take much from our reserves.
ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR:
Sue LaCrosse said Toni Johns left detailed instructions. Larry Peterson
will be in charge on Saturday and Pat Milton will mark off the booth spaces on Friday. Karen Youngberg will
take care of the donuts and coffee. Sue LaCrosse said the Lions Club can use one of the community center
coffee pots. Karen Youngberg requested a table and two chairs for the high school.

FAMILY FUN & GAMES:
Ritchie Miller and Henry Dorff will take care of filling the water
balloons. Councilmember Kathleen Carmody, Joy and Karen Youngberg sorted through all of the prices and
gift certificates. Karen Youngberg has the tickets for the registration table. They will use the same set up.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL:
No report.
KID’S FISHING CONTEST:
The police chief will bring two explorers and an officer with him.
MUSIC/FIREWORKS:
There was a motion by Phil Cohen, seconded by Nancy Doucette to
take $2,000 for our reserves and put towards the fireworks to make it an $8,000 show. Motion carried.
PARADE:
Nancy Doucette reported there are 75-80 units.
PHOTOGRAPHER:
No report.
PUBLICITY:
Sue LaCrosse said the Radio Disney ads are wonderful. The tabloid will be reprinted
and go in Thursday’s paper because of all of the errors last week. They will have schedules of Saturday
events at the fire station open house.
TRIVIA CONTEST:
Shelley Klaessy said she met with Councilmember Kathleen Carmody to
work out the details.
OTHER EVENTS:
Brookdale Health will provide refreshments and massages at the senior golf
tournament. Karen Youngberg reported we made $395 at the pancake breakfast.

There was a motion by Phil Cohen, seconded by Shelley Klaessy to approve payment. Motion carried.

Tuesday, June 25, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. in the
Room, lower level at CITY HALL.
ADJOURN:
There was a motion by Ritchie Miller, seconded by Shelley Klaessy to adjourn the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:57 a.m.
