HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007 06-19 EBDM Earle Brown Days Meeting Minutes June 19, 2007 PRESENT: Kathleen Carmody, Mike Meyer, Shelley Klaessy, Phil Cohen, Karen Youngberg, Cathy Ballot, Councilmember Mary O’Connor, and Sue LaCrosse. Karen Youngberg called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: No minutes to approve. TREASURER’S REPORT : The balance in the checking account is $24,000.90. There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Shelley Klaessy to approve the treasurer’s report. BINGO : Cathy Ballot said it is on. BUDGET/FINANCE: Sue LaCrosse reviewed the budget spreadsheet. She added $533.00 for the pancake breakfast. We made $395.00 last year. Phil Cohen will contact Carson & Clelland and Malmborg’s as we have not received donations from them this year. CRAFT & BUSINESS EXPO: Joy Reinhart is going to put together a survey for the exhibitors. Joy, Karen, Pat and Deb will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday to set up and mark the booth spaces. FAMILY FUN & GAMES: Rotary has found enough workers to fill up the water balloons. They will do this on Thursday. Kathleen Carmody needs prizes for ages 16 plus. ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Everything is set. KID’S FISHING CONTEST: No report. MUSIC/FIREWORKS: All set. PARADE: Mike Meyer said there are 75 units. PHOTOGRAPHER: Karen Youngberg said John’s son will be taking pictures. PUBLICITY: Sue LaCrosse said the tabloid looks really nice. The Northwest Cities segment was very timely this year. Mike Meyer reported that the Leo Club has gotten out distributing the posters and flyers. Many businesses would not allow them to be put up. Sue LaCrosse said this is a good start. Maybe we can expand on this for next year into some of the office buildings. RADIO DISNEY: Wells Fargo needs a table. SENIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT: No report. TRIVIA CONTEST: There was a motion by Sue LaCrosse, seconded by Cathy Ballot to award prizes as such: triple for first place, double for second place and break even for third place. Each person 1 in first place would receive $15, second place would each receive $10 and third place would each receive $5. Motion carried. OTHER EVENTS: Sue LaCrosse said Dunkin’s party is all set. There will be free hotdogs, chips, beverage, cake and goodie bags for the first 200 children. Sharky from Underwater Adventures Aquarium will attend. There will be lots of games, music and dancing. Karen Youngberg said the pancake breakfast went well. Applebees was not as organized as they were last year. The pre ticket sales helped.
