for prizes earlier. Karen Youngberg said she would like to meet with Henry Dorff about getting some seniors

for the fireworks, but at this time cannot commit to the amount. Pull tab sales are down. Councilmember
Kathleen Carmody said they had to replace the equipment at Coyote Grill after someone broke in. Sue
LaCrosse said last year there were tons of compliments on the band. However, she thinks Dale Greenwald’s
band wants to come back. The cost for Dale’s band is less than the Castaways. It may come down to what
we can budget for.
Parade:
Nancy Doucette said the Lions Club has cut 50% of their donations across the board.
This means that they have budgeted $2,500 for the parade. If they get extra money, they would be
willing to increase the budget for the parade. She said she is creating a flow chart with all of the parade
tasks and the worker(s) responsible for that task.
Publicity:
Sue LaCrosse said she would like to look at how we are promoting the festival. Some of
the things that cost the most amount of money are really not bringing people in. She suggests we have a
meeting in October to discuss the budget and what new businesses could be solicited or what other means
we have to raise money.
Councilmember Kathleen Carmody said she an idea for a Trivia Game fundraiser. She is looking for a
place to hold the event that could accommodate approximately 10 – 15 tables of around 7-10 people.
She would like to have refreshments for sale, such as beer and pop. She will continue to pursue this
fundraising idea.
