Meeting Minutes
February 19, 2008
PRESENT:
Mike Meyer, Cathy Ballot, Phil Cohen, Councilmember Mary
O’Connor, Kathleen Carmody and Sue LaCrosse.
Phil Coehn called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Mike Meyer to
approve the minutes of the January 15, 2008 meeting. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
: Cathy Ballot reported $6,023.95 in checking and $15,369.76 in the CD for a
total of $21,393.71. There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody seconded by Mike Meyer to accept the
treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
BINGO:
Cathy Ballot will check with the Women’s Club to see if they are interested.
BUDGET/FINANCE:
Phil Cohen and Kathleen Carmody will sign the business donations letters. The
budget will be discussed in more detail at the next meeting.
CRAFT & BUSINESS EXPO:
Sue LaCrosse said the exhibitor information went out.
DUNKIN BIRTHDAY PARTY
: No report.
FACE PAINTING:
The committee decided on two face painters from 3-5:00 p.m.
FAMILY FUN & GAMES:
Kathleen Carmody reported that she has started buying things. She will
work on getting restaurant gift certificates later.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL:
Sue LaCrosse said we have booked Radio Disney for their High
School Musical Karaoke event.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL:
Brookdale has decided to hold the ice cream social again but will not
hire any entertainment.
KID’S FISHING CONTEST:
No report.
MAGIC SHOW
: The magic show is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
MUSIC/FIREWORKS:
This is all set.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST:
We will decide at a future meeting whether or not we have the
volunteer capacity to do this fundraiser.
PARADE:
Mike Meyer said the Park Center Band will be in the parade this year. It was discussed that
we may honor the vets at the parade or on Saturday with the Midnight Breeze Band.

PUBLICITY:
Sue LaCrosse is waiting to hear back from the Star Tribune.
SENIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT:
No report.
TRIVIA CONTEST:
The Trivia Contest will be moved back to Brookdale.
NEW BUSINESS:
The schedule of events was finalized for the City Watch publication.
EXT MEETING: Council/Commission
N Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. in the
Conference Room, lower level at CITY HALL.
ADJOURN:
There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Mike Meyer to adjourn the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m.
