Meeting Minutes
June 17, 2008
PRESENT:
Mike Meyer, Cathy Ballot, Phil Cohen, Councilmember Mary O’Connor, Karen Youngberg,
Kathleen Carmody and Sue LaCrosse.
Phil Cohen called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
There was a motion by Cathy Ballot, seconded by Mike Meyer to
approve the minutes of the June 10, 2008 meeting. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
: Cathy Ballot reported $26,021.71 in checking. There was a motion by Mike
Meyer, seconded by Kathleen Carmody to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
BUDGET/FINANCE:
Sue LaCrosse reported we will need to take $2,295.41 from our reserves this
year. Phil Cohen is following up on past sponsors who have not donated this year. There was a motion by
Mike Meyer, seconded by Kathleen Carmody to approve the budget.
CRAFT & BUSINESS EXPO:
Sue LaCrosse said she sent out the exhibitor confirmation letters today.
DUNKIN BIRTHDAY PARTY
: All set.
FACE PAINTING:
All set.
FAMILY FUN & GAMES:
Kathleen Carmody said everything is in good shape. Phil Cohen is still
working on getting volunteers from Rotary, but it is looking good. He will buy water balloons. Karen
Youngberg has the nozzles. They will probably fill the balloons on Saturday morning.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL:
All set.
HONOR THE VETERANS:
Phil Cohen said he needs to see the inside of the showmobile so
they know where to place the flag. Everything else is set. He will need posters made. There will be plenty of
flags for distribution. We will not need to order any.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL:
Mike Meyer talked to Cindy at Brookdale. She is checking to see if the
overhead is working for the Trivia Contest. Otherwise, everything is set.
KID’S FISHING CONTEST:
All set.
MAGIC SHOW
: All set.
MUSIC/FIREWORKS:
All set.
PARADE:
Mike Meyer reported everything is done.
PUBLICITY:
Sue LaCrosse said Mike Meyer and the representatives from the VFW and Legion did

a fabulous job on the Northwest Cities show. Ann Gallagher did a fabulous job in editing it. The Sun Post
tabloid should look really nice. Posters are going up.
SENIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT:
No report.
TRIVIA CONTEST:
All set.
OTHER EVENTS:
Kathleen Carmody will send an email to Diane Sannes at the end of the week
confirming the Readmobile.
OLD BUSINESS:
Sue LaCrosse reported we have received the insurance policy. Mary O’Connor said she is concerned about
one of the boards on the bridge over the creek. It looks like it could crack. Sue LaCrosse said she would
report it.

There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Karen Youngberg to approve payment of the
bills. Motion carried.

N Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the
COMMUNITY CENTER.
ADJOURN:
There was a motion by Mike Meyer, seconded by Kathleen Carmody to adjourn the meeting at
4:20 p.m. The meeting was adjourned.
