Meeting Minutes
June 24, 2008
PRESENT:
Mike Meyer, Cathy Ballot, Phil Cohen, Joy Reinhart, Karen Youngberg, Kathleen Carmody
and Sue LaCrosse.
Phil Cohen called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Karen
Youngberg to approve the minutes of the June 17, 2008 meeting. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
: Cathy Ballot reported $25,797.67 in checking. There was a motion by Mike
Meyer, seconded by Kathleen Carmody to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
BUDGET/FINANCE:
We received two more crafters for revenue.
CRAFT & BUSINESS EXPO:
Joy Reinhart reported that the vendors have been assigned booths. She
will be marking the spaces on Friday night. She has 30.
DUNKIN BIRTHDAY PARTY
: All set.
FACE PAINTING:
All set.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL:
All set.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL:
All Set.
KID’S FISHING CONTEST:
All set.
MAGIC SHOW
: All set.
MUSIC/FIREWORKS:
All set.
PUBLICITY:
Public service announcements have been sent out. Sue LaCrosse sent out press
releases to the television stations for the Honor Our Veterans program. She said the tabloid turned out nice.
SENIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT:
Sue LaCrosse reported they have 66 golfers and are at their
maximum.
TRIVIA CONTEST:
Kathleen said she needs four more questions.
FAMILY FUN & GAMES:
Phil Cohen said he has 5 rolls of pennies and will toss in some silver to
excite them. Kathleen Carmody said the prizes are good. Phil Cohen said in the past the Rotary members
have filled the water balloons. He has requested that Sue find someone to fill them and we will reimburse
them for their time.

HONOR THE VETERANS:
Phil Cohen said he will look at the showmobile on Friday to
determine where the flag can be hung. They added the singing of God Bless America to the program.
PARADE:
Mike Meyer said the Mayor has a car. He said Cub donated 1,000 hotdogs. But logistically it
won’t work this year. He can’t get volunteers to cook them. Otherwise everything is set to go. Phil Cohen
said he would like to mitigate the problem of throwing things in the parade. He suggested handing out a note
to everyone participating in the parade. It should have something like this on it: You have been notified and
this is to remind you that we do not allow the throwing of candy and other items from vehicles.

There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Karen Youngberg to approve payment of the
bills. Motion carried.
EXT MEETING: Room 221 (upper level) at the
N Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the
COMMUNITY CENTER.
Sue LaCrosse asked if unable to make meeting, to get reports and bills to her
beforehand.
ADJOURN:
There was a motion by Kathleen Carmody, seconded by Mike Meyer to adjourn the meeting at
4:27 p.m. The meeting was adjourned.
