Meeting Minutes
March 22, 2011
PRESENT:
Joy Reinhart, Todd Cannon, Karen Youngberg, Phil Cohen, Mynra Kragness and Sue
LaCrosse.
Joy Reinhart called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There was a motion by Phil Cohen, seconded by Todd Cannon to approve the minutes of February 15,
2011. Motion carried. Karen Youngberg reported one correction to the minutes. The car show had not
been confirmed until after the February meeting.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Sue LaCrosse reported that Cathy Ballot sent her an email and the balance in our checking account is
$17,751.35. There was a motion by Phil Cohen, seconded by Myrna Kragness to approve the
Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried.
BUDGET/FINANCE
The committee reviewed the budget sheet. Sue LaCrosse said there may be a chance that the Centennial
Committee will pay for the Rockin’ Hollywoods, Petting Zoo and The Flyers.
EVENTS
Characters
– Sue LaCrosse said she booked Rapunzel and Jack Sparrow.
Craft & Business Expo
– Joy Reinhart said the letters are out. Sue LaCrosse said we have not received
many back.
Dunkin The Dolphin Birthday Party
– No report.
Face Painting
– No report.
Family Fun & Games
– Karen Youngberg said she will donate the money for the money scramble. We
need door prizes.
Farm Animals/Petting Zoo
– No report.
Honor Our Veterans
– Myrna Kragness reported they have six veterans for the Minnesotans’ Military
Appreciation Fund. She has requested the VFW put on their calendar to be the Honor Guard. The
flyovers are set and we should have 3 or 4 planes. She will contact the boy scouts to see if they will do
the Pledge of Allegiance.
Kid’s Craft Area
– Sue said she has not ordered the crafts yet.
Kid’s Fishing Contest
– No report.
Magic Show
– No report.

Music/Fireworks
– All set.
Parade
– No report.
Publicity
– Sue LaCrosse asked the committee for their ideas. She will check into advertising on Cable.
The newspaper ads just have not worked. Things we have tried in the past haven’t worked very well
either.
Rockinˊ Hollywoods
– All set.
Senior Golf Tournament
– No report.
NEW BUSINESS
Phil Cohen said there is movement toward having a Jaycees reunion. The Jaycees were active from
1955 to 1985. They have targeted the Sunday after Earle Brown Days. This event is endorsed by the
Centennial Committee. Todd Cannon suggested they be in the parade.
