EARLE BROWN DAYS MEETING
Tuesday, August 19, 1997
AGENDA
_____________________
1. Mission statement approval on suggested changes.
2. Establish an executive committee who would be authorized to approve and pay festival
bills, as suggested by Tom Slupske.
3. The Finance Committee should estimate the amount of money they expect to receive
through their letter requesting donations and enter it in the annual report.
4. Sponsors of events, i.e., Rotary for picnic/games, Brook Park Dental for the fishing
contest and others with sponsors, should budget amounts expected.
5. All money received by the various events in cash or checks must be accounted for through
our deposits to the checking account.
6. When contacting local businesses for prizes or gift certificates, we must be sure that we
are not making duplicate hits on them. (i.e., Junior Ambassadors had seven duplicates
in 1997.)
7. Adding new events to the festival
- Think of them in terms of a 3 to 5 year trial basis and consider:
- popularity
- attendance
- location (indoor or outdoor)
- cost effectiveness
8. Ask at least one friend or acquaintance you feel can help us in improving the Earle Brown
Days Festival to accompany you to our next meeting.
