MEETING MINUTES
Chairman Phil Cohen called the Brooklyn Center Special Events Committee meeting to order at 4:14 p.m.
ATTENDANCE
Dale Greenwald, Tony Kuefler, Taxpayers Association; Kay Lasman, Council Liaison; Baylon Loosbrock,
Vice-President; Len Lasman; Dorothy Jacobson, Women’s Club; Evelyn Byron, Women’s Club; Sue Low,
Business Community; Tom Shinnick, Historical Society; Phil Cohen, President; Sue LaCrosse, recreation staff
liaison.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Phil Cohen submitted the budget report.

There was a motion by Tony Kuefler, seconded by Baylon Loosbrock to adopt the budget report as of
February 5, 2004. It was noted to add under expenses $65.00 for flags and podium and $50.00 for punch.
Motion carried.

DOOR PRIZES:
Dale Greenwald said all people would stay in for the two drawings for $50 cash. The small prizes will be given
out first and all names would be put back in for big prizes. Some of the prizes that will be given out include
bags, flashlights, travel cups, CD holders, t-shirt, magnets, calendars, tax preparation coupon, tool kits, flag
pins and a TGI Fridays gift certificate.
THEME DEVELOPMENT:
Phil Cohen reported the theme is “Prairie to Regional Center.”
There was a motion by Tony Kuefler, seconded by Dorothy Jacobson to book 117 dinner reservations with the
Heritage Center. Motion carried.
MEETING SCHEDULE
The next meeting is March 11, 2004, 4:30 p.m. at Kay & Len Lasman’s House, 4407 Woodbine Lane (560-
6689). This will be a wrap-up meeting and spaghetti dinner.
ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Tony Kuefler, seconded by Councilmember Kay Lasman to adjourn the meeting at
5:00 p.m. Motion carried.
