NEW BUSINESS
Sue LaCrosse asked about interest in having the recipients participate in the Earle Brown Days
parade. She said Mike Meyer, parade chair had a flatbed last year. She said it hinges on whether
Margaret Sandberg is willing to coordinate a float. Margaret said she likes the idea but we would
th
have to have seat belts. Councilmember Lasman said we need to start bringing attention to the 100
birthday in 2011. We need to begin to think of what kinds of things we want to do and keynotes.
Tony Kuefler said we could have a banner on the side of the float with each year listed until 2011.
We could cross off one year at a time. Phil Cohen suggested we table the discussion to the wrap up
meeting in February. At that time, we will determine if there is interest in the float and set up a
committee. In February, we will also discuss setting up a 2011 committee.
