Baylon Loosbrock reported contributions of $2,539 plus the $200 received today from the Lioness Club. He

contribute $200 but it will come later. There was a motion by Doug Darnell, seconded by Dorothy Jacobson
to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
THEME DEVELOPMENT
Margaret Sandberg said it is all done. Setup begins at 12 Noon.
CIVIC GROUP INVOLVEMENT
Phil Cohen said we need to address the last minute nominees. At first he was against turning them away.
However, there is a trickle effect when adding last minute nominees. It affects contacting Viking Trophy
numerous times, the script for the emcee, the roster, name tags and the additional dinner spots. This will be
addressed at the wrap-up meeting.
Tony Kuefler reported that he has made a script for Sue Low consisting of about two sentences per nominee.
The detailed information was typed up and Allegra will print them in booklet format. A booklet will be put at
each place setting.
PROGRAM/ENTERTAINMENT
Everything is set.
COMMITTEE ACTION ITEMS
The committee reviewed a draft of the script for Dr. Orn. Phil Cohen said this is the last time the scout
group will be here. They are formally disbanding. Added to the script are the Veterans and families of
Armed Services currently serving will be asked to stand. They will be done separately.
Phil Cohen said Diane Sannes would like to speak regarding the Centennial Celebration. There was a
motion by Pastor Bruce Hobbs, seconded by Baylon Loosbrock to limit the people that can speak to
those on the Special Events Committee and someone from the committee could make the announcement
for her. Motion carried. During the door prize and last person standing award segment, Doug Darnell
will ask her to stand and encourage people to talk to her if interested.
Sue LaCrosse said there have been last minute reservation requests. She said some of these requests do
not understand that we do not have money to subsidize them. We are going to be two meals short.
However, they will have something comparable. Last minute reservations will be discussed at the wrap-
up meeting.
Councilmember Kay Lasman reviewed the amended contract. There was a motion by Pastor Bruce
Hobbs, seconded by Tom Shinnick to approve the contract. Motion carried.
OTHER
Margaret Sandberg expressed her appreciation of all the people who help setup and cleanup. She said
she does not want cleanup started until Dale Greenwald’s band is done. She asks committee members to
stop anyone who tries to cleanup early.
MEETING SCHEDULE
The wrap-up meeting is March 12 at 4:30 p.m. at the Lasman’s.
ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Tom Shinnick, seconded by Len Lasman to adjourn the meeting. The meeting
