14, 2010. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Baylon Loosbrock distributed a detailed treasurer’s report. Total income, including money held by
the City is $5,517.30. Sue LaCrosse said based on the reservations coming in, we will be short.
Councilmember Kay Lasman said we would need 149 reservations. Sue LaCrosse said the Captain’s
Room is open but we would be squished with 140 people. It was determined we would check on
Captain’s Room availability with the option of going back to the Garden City room if it did not get
booked. We received additional donations from the Crime Prevention Program, Lorraine & Tom
Shinnick and Little League. There was a motion by Councilmember Kay Lasman, seconded by Len
Lasman to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried.
CIVIC GROUP INVOLVEMENT
Civic group donations are reflected in the treasurer’s report.
THEME DEVELOPMENT
Margaret Sandberg said it is underway.
CIVIC AWARDS
We still need the written nomination forms for Gena Johnston, Lonte Hill and Byron Laher. Phil
Cohen reported the Historical Society will nominate Alfred Johnson and will donate $50.
PROGRAM/ENTERTAINMENT
Councilmember Kay Lasman reported everything is set.
COMMITTEE ACTION ITEMS
Sue LaCrosse said nothing has changed from our last meeting.

CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
Phil Cohen said the Centennial Celebration is at a standstill. He is waiting for the budget to be in
place. He was hoping it would be further along so that we could promote the celebration at the
Birthday Party. Councilmember Kay Lasman said we have the pens with the date for next year
and something will be listed on the Heritage Center marquee. She asked if a banner could be
made which could be displayed as people leave. Sue LaCrosse said it would be inexpensive to do
that.
OTHER
Doug Darnell asked if he could invite Joe Ericksen to present the award to Jerry Woods. The
committee said yes. Sue LaCrosse said we should try to have some saved seats for award recipients
who may not know a lot of people. The Women’s Club has more than 20 people. We will have to
check with Dorothy Jacobson at the next meeting how they will be seated.
It was suggested we have an idea or a scheme of where the recipients are seated ahead of time for
Alfred Johnson.
