adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2012-52
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING 2012 PLANTING LIST OF ALLOWABLE
BOULEVARD TREE SPECIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center promotes a diverse
urban forest so as to minimize the spread of tree disease; and
WHEREAS, Section 20-402 of the ordinances provides for an annual listing of
allowable boulevard tree varieties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the following trees are hereby designated as allowable boulevard
tree species for 2012:
Birch (River, Paper) Maple (Autumn Blaze)
Crabapple (Flowering) & cultivars Maple (Red) & cultivars
Elm (American) Maple (Sugar) & cultivars
Hackber y Oak (Northern Red)
Honeylocust (Imperial, Shademaster, Oak(Pin)
Skyline, Thornless) Oak(White, Bur, Swamp)
Kentucky Coffeetree Servicebeny
Linden (American, Littleleaf)

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Lin Myszkowski
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, Lin Myszkowski, and Dan Ryan;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
