HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-075 CCR Member Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2012-75 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DESIGNATION OF EASEMENTS FOR SHINGLE CREEK REGIONAL TRAIL REALIGNMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the Three Rivers Park District is reconstructing and realigning a portion of the Shingle Creek Regional Trail in the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, the proposed new trails will be located on City property and easements from the City to the Three Rivers Park District are needed for those realigned portions of new trail; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended approval for the resolution authorizing designation of easements for the Shingle Creek Trail Realignment Project; and WHEREAS, the new easements will replace the prior easements granted as part of the 2009 Trailway Cooperative Agreement; and WHEREAS, certain easements for the old trail must be vacated through separate action once the new trails are constructed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota,that 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute perpetual easements for the Shingle Creek Regional Trail that will be dedicated to Three Rivers Park District, in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center. June 11 2012 Date Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Lin Myszkowski and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, Lin Myszkowski, and Dan Ryan; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
