Provide support to chairs to ensure success.

Coordinate functions of the committee.
Budget and financial control.
Provide a liaison between the committee and each working group.
Working Group Chairs

Provide an outline of what they will do.
FUNDRAISING
Before we begin fundraising, we need to say what we are going to do. The logo should be put on all
materials.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
It would be helpful if we started ordering Centennial merchandise. As we approach civic
organizations for their support, it would be nice to give the members of their boards some
merchandise. Keith Lester suggested a pen attached to the postcard. It was also suggested we have a
drawing and give away something like a hat. Sue Low will contact Break Tradition Uniforms and
Keith Lester will contact a couple of vendors he works with at the school. There should be samples
of shirts and caps/hats to show to committee members at the next meeting.
Sharon Kephart suggested something for youth. She said they like bracelets and pencils. Brett
Hildreth suggested pedometers. If possible, the logo should go on all merchandise. On something
like the bracelet, we won’t have room. In that case, it was suggested we say Brooklyn Center
Centennial Celebration 2011.

The committee approved the purchase of pens, postcards, letterhead, envelopes, stickers, bracelets,
and cling stickers. There was a motion by Phil Cohen, seconded by Sue Low to send the costs of the
approved purchases with a breakdown of quantities to Keith Lester and Sue LaCrosse by noon on
Monday, February, 22. Keith Lester will make final approval on which merchandise to order and
quantities. Merchandise will be ordered the next day.
There was a motion by Brett Hildreth, seconded by Sue Low to meet every two weeks beginning
March 3 for three months. Motion carried.
