Finance Director Report
Finance Director, Dan Jordet reviewed the finance report pertaining to the Centennial revenue
and expenditures. There was a motion by Dr. Duane Orn, seconded by Councilmember Kay
Lasman to transfer the remaining $1,653.23 to the Amphitheater. Motion carried with Brett
Hildreth abstaining from voting. There was a motion by Councilmember Dan Ryan, seconded
by Sharon Kephart to approve the budget report. Motion carried.
Dr. Duane Orn said the committee has been communicating to donors that they will get their
money back if the Amphitheater does not get built. City Manager, Curt Boganey said one of the
work session items on Monday’s agenda is to discuss the forming of an Amphitheater
Fundraising Committee. Councilmembers Kay Lasman and Dan Ryan said they will make sure
this is part of the discussion and the funds be set aside for only this project. Councilmember Kay
Lasman said she would like to make sure that future councils know the expectations. City
Manager, Curt Boganey asked if the committee needed more members. Phil Cohen said we do
not need any more committee members. He added that sometimes these committees can get too
large and it adds to the length of meetings. The committee thanked Dan Jordet for keeping the
financial records.
Photo Contest
Sharon Kephart reported the contest was successful with most entries submitted by adults. She
would like to talk to the Earle Brown Days Committee about taking this on as an annual event
starting next year. The contest winners were highlighted in the City Watch.
Time Capsule
Councilmember Kay Lasman was disappointed in the attendance. She highlighted some of the
items in the time capsule and said it is a nice representation of the year we are leaving. The
plaque designating when it should be opened is nice.
Holly Weekend
City Manager, Curt Boganey said the Capri Big Band enjoyed playing at the school. They were
a little disappointed in the attendance. The committee received a lot of positive feedback from
those attending. Sue LaCrosse said Holly Sunday was well attended. We had more people than
ever.

Dr. Duane Orn reported we have almost raised $130,000 with donations, pavers and in-kind
contributions.
Merchandise
Sue LaCrosse said we have some polo and sweatshirts leftover. We also have the
resolution/proclamation document sets. City Manager, Curt Boganey said we could sell them at
a reduced price at the Golf Course or Community Center. Dr. Duane Orn said he will purchase
the remaining merchandise. The committee decided to donate one set of the documents to the
Brooklyn Historical Society. Sue LaCrosse will figure out the cost for Dr. Duane Orn.

Centennial Celebration Committee and transfer the remaining funds from Bremer Bank to the
