TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Please take notice that the Planning Commission of the City of Brooklyn Center will hold a public
hearing on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle
Creek Parkway to consider the petition described below:
TYPE OF REQUEST: Planned Unit Development (PUD)Amendment
PETITIONER: Loren Van Der Slik for Gatlin Development Co
PROPERTY NAMED IN THE PETITION:
Legal Description: Lots 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, Block 1, Shingle Creek
Crossing, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
These properties are more commonly described as 1300, 1480, 1500, 1520, 1560, 1580,
1180, 1090 and 1080 Shingle Creek Crossing, respectively.
BRIEF STATEMENT OF CONTENTS OF PETITION:
An amendment to the previously approved Shingle Creek Crossing Planned Unit Development
Sign Program, specifically to allow nine (9)monument type signs on the various pad sites identified
herein to either a single-tenant sign or multi-tenant identification sign.
Auxiliary aids for persons with disabilities are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance.

PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD)AMENDMENT
CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Planning Commission of the
City of Brooklyn Center on the 26th of June, 2013 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle
Creek Parkway, to consider the proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment for the
property described as follows:
Legal: Lot 3, Block 1, Shingle Creek Crossing
PID No. 03-118-21-41-0026
This property is more commonly described as 1300 Shingle Creek Crossing
Said proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment has been submitted by
Loren Van Der Slik on behalf of Gatlin Development for an amendment to a previously
approved Master Plan for the Shingle Creek Crossing Planned Unit Development (dated August
2012), which includes removal of the 169,555 sf. former Brookdale Mall's "Food Court"
building, and redeveloping this same area with six (6) new individual retail buildings, identified
as follows:
Building T = 13,200 sf. Building U= 14,000 sf.
Building V = 9,000 sf. Building W= 21,900 sf.
Building X = 25,000 sf. Building Y= 50,000 sf.
The PUD Amendment would allow the reduction of the previously approved net leasable retail
area from 150,591 sq. ft. to 132,200 sq. ft. of retail space on this lot.

Please take notice that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center at its meeting on Monday, July
8, 2013will consider the petition described below. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall
Council Chambers, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway. A definite time for this petition to be considered
cannot be given as it will depend on the progression of the agenda items.
