NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Please take notice that the Planning Commission of the City of Brooklyn Center will hold a public
hearing on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle
Creek Parkway to consider the petition described below:
TYPE OF REQUEST: Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment
PETITIONER: Economic Development Authority(EDA)for the City of Brooklyn Center,MN
PROPERTY NAMED IN THE PETITION:
Legal Description: Lot 2, Block 1, Brooklyn Farm 2nd Addition, Hennepin County,
Minnesota.
This property is more commonly described as 6250 Earle Brown Drive
BRIEF STATEMENT OF CONTENTS OF PETITION:
An amendment to the previously approved 2007 Brooklyn Hotel Partners LLC/Embassy Suites
Planned Unit Development project, approved under City Resolution No. 2007-70, dated May 14,
2007, and which approvals included a provision in the PUD agreement that states: "Approval of the
75 room hotel identified as future development on the site is subject to the Planned Unit
Development amendment process prior to the issuance of building permits for that project."; and
whereas this PUD amendment comprehends the reconfiguration and approval of a new 4-story, 81
room Candlewood Suites on the vacant development site owned by the EDA.
