BACKGROUND
The applicant has del-ermined, based upon the results of the
school census, that an additional classroom will be required
for 30 students at the Evergreen Park Elementary school,
State law requires that the census be conducted after
August I.
A special use permit is sought for the erection of a
l-'emporary modular classroom on the Everygreen School
site (schools are ccinprehended as special uses in RI
districts by the ordinance) .
ANALYSIS Aar RECOMEW-DATION
staff has consulted with the State Building Inspection
• OJ-'-:f-ice and has recei,,.ied a letter from the Department of
Education. Neither have any objection to the proposed
temporary structure.
The applicant has provided illustrations, plans and
photos of the type of structure; hopes to have the
building for use when school commences Septeneber 5th.
Staff recom-aendation is that the permit be issued on an
annual basis, with approval by the Commission and
Council if the use is to be continued.-
