Description of Request; Site and building plan approval
of a 155 unit motel.
3ACKGROUND.-
1. The Planning Commission tentatively approved the
concept of Holiday Inn Hotels on May 7, 1970.
2. Adequate parking provisions have been provided.
POINTS TO BE CONSIDEREDt
1) Building plans are subject to the approval of
the building inspector with respect to applicable
building codes (includes installation of T-shaped
• concrete driveway islands; the ingress and egress
entrances be widened to 30 feet at the street and
tapered inward to 24 feet) ;
2) Utility and drainage plans are subject to the
approval of the City Engineer priov to the issuance
of a building permit.
3) A perfoi-_-mance agreement and performance bond
(in an amount to be determined by the City Manager)
shall be submitted to the City to guarantee site
improvements as designated on the plains submitted
(includes landscape planting schedule, preferrably
with deciduous trees on the north pro?erty line.

area and height of a freestanding
sign.

The applicant is requesting that they be allowed
to install their "Great, Sign" on the South property,
line adjacent to the freeway. This sign is 4314"
high and contains 492 square feet of area per face.
This is the applicant' s calculations.
2. The applicant states that business depends on over-
night patrons for their primary source. of income.
They state that it is important that -their sign be
seen from some distance on the freeway so potential
customers can make a decision in time to us=e the
interchange.
POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED:
