I RESOLUTICN, APPROVING PLANNING COMMMSION APPIJCATION NO, 68018 ASEEM-SED WHEREAS, on April 15, 19G8 Glad and Miller Construction Company filed Planning Commission Applioatton No. 68018 requestitiq rezoning from 0-2 ito R-5 that property generally located south of Lake-side Avenue, north and west of T.R, 100, and eatst of Lower Twin Lake; and %rT-M-REAS, on May 2, 1968 and June 6, 11968 the application was considered by t"-,v Planning Commission and recommended for denial on the general basis of xn&14-11quate and unsafe traffic access; and WYEREAS, Pppllirnition No. 68018 was mnmldered by the City Council on T,ine 17, 1968 and. subsequently -Itabled to kw;yumt 5, 1968 and again to August 19, 1968; and WHEMEAS, an August 19, ISE8 then matter was tabled with the concurrence of the applicant for the purpose of obtaining additional infomation from -Outside consultants; and WHEREAB, on November- 18, 1968 the City Council enac%ed Resolution No. 68-251 delerring action oil Application No. 68018 for an additional ninety days to perynit the gathering of additional data; and W-'.4T,R L- PtS, the City Manager commissioned evaluation appraisals related to the s.ubjeat pm�party and he also commissioned Mr. Howard Dahlgren of Midwest Planning and Re5etk•ch, Inc. to perform a land use analysis of the subject property; and Wj-jERfj,S, in a report dated January 14, i960 Hovravd Dah1grenes ubmitted such a report which generally recommended a iand use consisting of multiple dwellings toward th(.,,- easterly portion, of the subjeect proterty, with a parkway c0r&Tl,,j(.tjM into TWir, Ds,ke Avenue and with the '?,,itin TAks beach property lying westerly thereof to be dedicaxted k7y tho devekoper for pa -k &M parkway purposes in c.-rmsideration of appropriate deasiLy CmUtS, tnd WMEAS, valuation appraisals indicated a valu ; of $135,000.00 for the S.5 acres if iased for R-5 pkarposes and $66,1100.00 14 ua&d for R-1 purposes; and on January 20, 1969 a petition calling for 0-6 Purlave of the "'Inkct was p_,er-.&;Aed to the CA,q' %`.0uuC0.'
