HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-022 CCR Member Lin Myszkowski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-22 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A LOAN APPLICATION TO THE MINNESOTA PUBLIC FACILITIES AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER'S WATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT NO. 2014-05 WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is hereby applying to the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority for a loan from the Drinking Water Revolving Fund for making improvements to its drinking water system as described in the loan application; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center estimates the loan amount to be $18,254,000 or the as-bid cost of the project; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has the legal authority to apply for the loan, and the financial, technical, and managerial capacity to repay the loan and ensure proper construction, operation and maintenance of the project for its design life. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center,Minnesota,that the City of Brooklyn Center hereby expresses its official intent to use proceeds of this loan to reimburse construction expenditures made prior to the issuance of its bond to the Public Facilities Authority.
