HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-023 CCR Member Lin Myszkowski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-23 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON JUNE AVENUE NORTH FROM 61St AVENUE NORTH TO 63'AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has planned the improvement of June Avenue North between 61" Avenue North and 63rd Avenue North within the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center will be expending Municipal State Aid Funds on the improvements of said streets; and WHEREAS, the proposed street improvements do not provide adequate width for parking on both sides of the street between 61s'Avenue North and 63rd Avenue North; and WHEREAS, approval of the planned construction improvements as a Municipal State Aid Street project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions to meet the minimum roadway design standards in accordance with Minnesota Rule 8820.9936. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center,Minnesota,that the City shall ban the parking of motor vehicles at all times on the west side of the following street segment: 1. June Avenue North from 61St Avenue North to 63rd Avenue North January 27 2014 Date Nlayor Pro Tem ATTEST:. kMA 12JV City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Carol Kleven and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. Carol Kleven, Kris Lawrence-Anderson, Lin Myszkowski, and Dan Ryan; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
