Meeting Minutes
June 12, 2012
PRESENT
Joy Reinhart, Todd Cannon, Mike Meyer, Myrna Kauth, Cathy Ballot, Karen Youngberg and Sue
LaCrosse.
Joy Reinhart called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
There was a motion by Karen Youngberg, seconded by Myrna Kauth to approve the minutes of June 5,
2012. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Cathy Ballot reported the balance in the check book is $15,405.47. There is one outstanding check for
$45.00. There was a motion by Karen Youngberg, seconded by Myrna Kauth to approve the treasurer’s
report. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Budget/Finance:
Sue LaCrosse reviewed the budget sheet. We received $250 from Carson,
Clelland & Schreder. Some changes were made to the parade expenses per Mike Meyer.
Craft & Business Expo:
Joy Reinhart reported that we have received a couple more vendors. She
will talk to Grannies about providing donuts & coffee again. Each vendor will receive up to two
coupons.
Kids’ Craft Area:
Sue LaCrosse said this is all set.
Family Fun & Games:
Cathy Ballot said the prizes are all broken down. She will have lots of
help from the Rotary Club members. Karen Youngberg will assist with the distribution of prizes for
winners.
Golf Tournament:
Mike Meyer said there are 62 golfers so far. This is more than they had last year.
There are still openings.
Honor Our Veterans:
Myrna Kauth reported there are 13 WWII veterans. A police officer will
give about a three minute speech. He is being honored by the police department for his service. Myrna
Kauth will present each WWII veteran with a coin and a malt gift certificate from 50’s Grill. The VFW
will provide the Color Guard. A boy scout will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Joy Reinhart will video
tape the program.
Kids’ Fishing Contest:
Sue LaCrosse said she talked to the police department and they will have
at least one officer and maybe some explorers help.
Music/Fireworks:
Myrna Kauth will contact Lenny at Americana Fireworks to see how much more
we would get if we decided to increase the fireworks by $2,000 or $3,000.

Parade:
Mike Meyer reported we have 80 units. Everything is set. Luther will donate two cars.
Dale Greenwald is Grand Marshal. Little League and Allegra will be added to the parade lineup. Todd
Cannon asked for approval of the following paid units:
Powder Puff Clown Club $250.00
Minneapolis Aqua Jesters 250.00
Unlimited Drill & Dance 100.00
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Karen Youngberg to approve payment of these units.
Motion carried.
Petting Zoo:
Cathy Ballot will follow up with them.
Publicity:
Sue LaCrosse said she has sent information to local churches, businesses, the library and
Community Corner. The Sun Post supplement comes out on Thursday.
OLD BUSINESS:
None.
NEW BUSINESS:
Bill Payment:
Midnight Breeze $1,200.00 Band
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Karen Youngberg to pay this bill. Motion carried.
There was a motion by Karen Youngberg, seconded by Todd Cannon to pay the remainder due to the
Petting Zoo. Motion carried.
Karen Youngberg will donate the coins for Family Fun & Games.
