HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014 04-15 EBDM Earle Brown Days Meeting Minutes April 15, 2014 PRESENT Phil Marbut, Judy Marbut, Cathy Ballot, Tom Shinnick and Sue LaCrosse. Cathy Ballot called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES There was a motion by Tom Shinnick, seconded by Phil Marbut to approve the minutes of March 18, 2014. Motion carried. TREASURER’S REPORT Cathy Ballot reported a checkbook balance of $10,639.15. There was a motion by Phil Marbut, seconded by Tom Shinnick to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried. Cathy Ballot reported a check for $550 from Rotary. There is a deposit of $6,590. COMMITTEE REPORTS Budget/Finance: Sue LaCrosse reviewed the budget spreadsheet. Parade: Phil Marbut reported we have six bands and have turned away 3. The portable restrooms have been arranged. We have a total of 22 units not counting bands. Craft & Business Expo: There are five exhibitors and three food vendors. Tom Shinnick will call the mini donut vendor. Kids’ Craft Area: Sue LaCrosse said the craft will be a patriotic disk they would color with markers. Kids’ Planting Activity: No report. Face Painting: All set. Family Fun & Games: Cathy Ballot reported she ordered medallions – gold, silver and brass. She is looking for gifts to use as door prizes. She needs them for all ages. Fire Truck: All set. Cathy Ballot said Lee Gatlin wants to come to our next meeting to start thinking about emergency preparedness. Golf Tournament: No report. Kids’ Fishing Contest: Cathy Ballot will contact Kevin Benner. Music/Fireworks: No report. Petting Zoo: All set. Publicity: Sue LaCrosse reported she will meet with the Star Tribune ad person tomorrow. She asked 1 if anyone had any corrections or suggestions. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: Sue LaCrosse said she is waiting for the insurance quote. Tom Shinnick will contact Steve at Cass Screw Machine Products to see if he is interested in donating.
