Amphitheater Fundraising Task Force
Meeting Notes
April 3, 2013
Dr. Duane Orn called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Present: Dr. Duane Orn, Sharon Kephart, Earl Simons, Myrna Kauth and Sue LaCrosse.
Minutes:
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Sharon Kephart to approve the minutes
of March 27, 2013. Motion carried.
Financial Report:
Sue LaCrosse reviewed the budget sheet. There was a motion by Myrna Kauth,
seconded by Sharon Kephart to approve the budget sheet as printed. Motion carried.
Dr. Orn reported that a subcommittee met with Curt Boganey and Jim Glasoe. They were told they
could put up the brick paver displays at City Hall, the Community Center and the Heritage Center.
Myrna Kauth said they are already displayed at City Hall and the Community Center.
Luther:
No report.
Evans-Nordby:
Dr. Orn said Phil Cohen will call Tom Weber on Monday.
Leonard Jacobson:
Myrna Kauth said Leonard will have his son contact them.
DVD’s:
Sharon Kephart needs a copy of the 3 DVD set. There was a motion by Sharon Kephart,
seconded by Earl Simons to make a summary DVD out of the three to show on Northwest Community
Television. Motion carried. Earl Simons said he has some DVD cases.
Mystic Lake Casino:
Dr. Orn reported that Ernee McArthur contacted them and the February requests
are done in April.
Jim Soderberg:
On hold.
Frank Gatlin:
The Frank Gatlin letter is ready to go.
Mike Sims:
A meeting has been scheduled with Mike Sims on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Janis Blumentals:
A meeting with Janis Blumentals, Curt Boganey and Jim Glasoe is scheduled for
Friday, April 12 at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall.
Brick Pavers:
Earl Simons distributed a photo of a headstone at Fort Snelling. Sue LaCrosse said she
will bring the photo to the attention of Jim Glasoe.
Bremer Bank:
Earl Simons went to Bremer Bank and was told they do not have any funds for financial
donations.
Caribou Coffee:
Myrna Kauth will draft a letter to them.
Next meeting:
Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in room 221 at the community center.
The meetings for April 17 and 24 are canceled. There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Earl
Simons to meet every other week beginning May 1. Motion carried.
Adjourn:
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Sharon Kephart to adjourn the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned.
