Amphitheater Fundraising Task Force
Meeting Notes
January 8, 2014
Dr. Duane Orn called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Present: Dr. Duane Orn, Earl Simons, Myrna Kauth, Keith Lester, Sue Low and Sue LaCrosse.
Minutes:
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Keith Lester to approve the minutes of
December 11, 2013. Motion carried.
Financial Report:
Sue LaCrosse reported $357,816.91 in donations, including in-kind. Myrna
Kauth recognized the Sun Post article and the email she received from Linda McGinty. Earl
Simons reported the VFW is meeting tonight and would consider our request. Dr. Duane Orn
presented checks for the Amphitheater in memorial of Dean Nyquist and Henry Dorff.
Earle Brown Terrace:
Dr. Duane Orn said he would contact the manager.
Amphitheater:
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Sue Low that the committee
recommends the official name be Centennial Civic & Veterans Memorial. Motion carried.
Comcast:
Sue LaCrosse reported the information Sharon Kephart emailed to the committee. She said
Sharon talked to Mike Johnson and he likes the idea of having NWCT on the wall.
Paul Hyde:
Dr. Duane Orn said he plans to go to Paul Hyde’s office.
Lang-Nelson:
Dr. Duane Orn reported a meeting with Gene Nelson on January 9 at 10:00 a.m.
Eldon Tessman:
Dr. Duane Orn has contacted him.
Other:
Dr. Duane Orn asked Keith Lester to write a new case statement for ongoing fundraising.
Adjourn:
There was a motion by Myrna Kauth, seconded by Sue Low to adjourn the meeting. The
meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting:
Wednesday, January 22, 3:00 p.m.
