FINANCIAL REPORT: $11, 256 . 22 as of 6/18/91. Bergeland reported for Cohen that Short, Elliott & Hendrickson and Holmes & Graven are expected to contribute $500 each. Nyquist presented a check for $500 from Holmes & Graven. Bergeland asked for approval for the following bills: $ 165. 89 Awards by Hammond Crowns--Junior Royalty 26 . 85 Norcosco Yacht Caps--Junior Royalty 75. 00 Jeanene Devilbiss Flowers--Junior Royalty • 83 . 16 Bridgeman' s--Junior Royalty 20. 00 American Speedy Print--Posters 900. 00 Prize Money--Talent Contest 300. 00 Judges--Talent Contest 4 , 000 . 00 Prize Money (Bands) --Parade 1, 375 . 00 Paid Units--Parade 197 . 50 Trophies by Linda $7 , 143 . 40 Total There was a motion by Neilson, seconded by Pollock to approve payment of those bills. Motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES : There was a motion by Nyquist, seconded by Neilson to approve the minutes of June 11, 1991. Motion carried. Certificates of appreciation were given to Neilson and Graham. It was recommended that certificates be mailed to contributors after . event. i i I BARN DANCE: Kargness has plenty of workers. The motion to pay bills was amended by Pollock to add payment of $1, 850 for Party . Machine. Seconded by Kargness. Motion carried. They need two cash boxes and stamps for hands. ICE CREAM SOCIAL: The agenda will include introducing volunteers, junior royalty, mayor, Hall of Fame (Jane Hallberg) , Brookdale (will lead off) and Brooklyn Community Band. JUNIOR ROYALTY: The 1990 children introduced themselves and thanked the EBD committee. Graham said this has been a great group to work with. They will be appearing at most events. TALENT CONTEST; There are 69 contestants. Bergeland will change cassettes on Thursday. Either Kargness or Graham will assist judges at the finals. AMBASSADORS : Bergeland thanked Nyquist and Cohen for their work on fund raising. i PARADE: Risley reported 105 units. I I CRAFT SHOW: Bergeland will contact Bobbie Moylan from the Lioness i Club to see if they could deliver posters. j CAR SHOW: It ' s ready to go. Nerburn will need a cash box. • NEW BUSINESS : Bergeland asked if anyone saw a need to have a meeting on June 25. There will be a wrap up meeting on July 9 . All unpaid bills should be brought to that meeting. Nyquist complimented the Earle Brown Days committee for their hard work. He thanked Bergeland as the chairperson and Graham for all the work they do year round. NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, July 9 , 7 : 30 a.m. City Hall, Conference Room A. ADJOURN.
