• APPROVAL OF MINUTES: There was a motion by Roen, seconded by

TALENT CONTEST: LaCrosse said she thinks we are at the break even
point with 64 . LaCrosse is still working on getting the finals
taped by cable.
CAR SHOW: There are enough sponsors to cover the car show but the
only car related business to contribute was Lowell ' s Parts.
CRAFT SHOW: Benson reported 20 crafters and 7 vendors. This is
below her expectations. Pollock has called some of the people on
the mailing list but response has been poor. Benson said there
will be a police car on exhibit and she ' s working on getting a fire
truck. She would still like to get a clown to do mime. Bergeland
said she didn't think there was enough money in the arts & crafts
fair budget to hire a clown.
Benson reported she will have surgery on her hand. Pollock has
volunteered to help with the craft fair.
Bergeland said there should be a master plan for the exhibitor set
up.
•
JUNIOR ROYALTY: Graham said the children will go to Children ' s
Hospital, Good Company on June 24 , barn dance, talent finals, ice
cream social, parade, arts & crafts fair and bingo. The new junior
royalty will introduce themselves at Sunday In Central Park. She
brought in samples of trophies and said she needs certificates.
Cable will tape the coronation and they hope to have an MC from
radio AAHS, a children' s station.
Graham asked how petty bills should be submitted. Also the bowling
center would not invoice. LaCrosse suggested contacting the
business far enough in advance to find out exact amount; then get
board approval . Check could be taken to the business when
merchandise was picked up or service provided. LaCrosse also
suggested a petty cash supply for small items of a few dollars.
This could be kept by Cummings or Bergeland.
PARADE: Neilson asked if Schieks could be in the parade. They
have their own convertible. Risley said no problem. Earl Simons
will do the commentary. The line up is done. There are 12 bands.
PUBLICITY: LaCrosse asked who she should contact when the posters
are ready. Benson said if it' s before Friday, call her. Graham
said to leave her a message. LaCrosse said don't forget to watch
Sunrise on 11 for our commercial starting June 19 .
NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, June 18 , 7 : 30 a.m. City Hall , Conference
Room A.
