Meeting Minutes
February 12, 1991
City Hall
PRESENT: Cohen, Risley, Roen, Neilson, Bergeland, Nyquist,
LaCrosse and Ann Britton.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Balance of $38.46 as of 2/12/91. At the
February 11, 1991 City Council Meeting, the Council approved the
writing off of the $4 , 540 debt owed from the Bicentennial signs.
Bergeland reported that Jacobsen has found it necessary to resign
from the board of directors and from planning the street dance.
She will continue to help Benson with the craft show. This now
leaves two board vacancies.
Bergeland introduced Ann Britton. She is interested in
volunteering for Earle Brown Days. Bergeland asked her if she was
interested in a board position. She will think about it.
STREET DANCE: The proposal is to move it indoors and charge
admission.
CRAFT SHOW: The proposal is to run a two day outdoor show at the
Heritage Center on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 .
There was a motion by Cohen, seconded by Roen to take the
recommendation of the street dance and craft show committees to run
the craft show outdoors on June 28 and June 29 and move the street
dance indoors to the Heritage Center. Motion passed.
AMBASSADORS: Cohen's goal for the next meeting is to have event
sponsors in place.

The talent contest and craft show are self-supporting.
Donations are also needed for Insurance, $1, 000 ; Publicity,
$1, 400; and Waste Removal, $500-600.
PARADE: Risley has a letter ready to go out. He needs to have
postage run through Earle Brown Days. Letters will be mailed by
the City.
The Lions Club is increasing the prize money to bands.
TALENT CONTEST: Neilson will set up a meeting with the new
marketing director at Brookdale. NW News is interested in
highlighting the event in an upcoming issue. LaCrosse will check
with Tater Daze to see if they're offering a talent contest and
their dates.
CAR SHOW: Bergeland reported for Nerburn that flyers are already
being distributed.
NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, March 12, 1991, City Hall Council Chambers
Adjourn.
