May be able to use the property just north of Earle Brown Towers. h) Parade - no chair yet. Dorff asked Splinter if the City would have someone who could do it. Splinter said the problem with that is it becomes a City event rather than a community event. Splinter will think about it and report to the committee at the next meeting. Graham will check with junior royalty parents to see if anyone is interested. OLD BUSINESS: a) Hide-A-Key - It was decided to delete the hide-a-key because of the lack of communication between the Earle Brown Days committee and the Historical Society. They could still have it but it shouldn't be advertised as an EBD event. b) Celebrate Minnesota 1990 - LaCrosse asked how far we wanted to get involved with this. There were no suggestions. Alford said Ernie McArther might be interested in planning a pageant or play with an historical theme. NEW BUSINESS: • a) Teen Activity - Neilson said contests work. Could maybe charge, give prizes. Volleyball is also successful. b) Vice-chair - It' s a good idea to have someone work with Bergeland for this year and take over as chair for 1991. C) Horseshoe Tournament d) Contest for the greatest fishing story--Harris. Bergeland asked her to put some ideas together and bring to next meeting. NEXT MEETING: Monday, November 6, 7 : 30 a.m. , City Hall Council Chambers. Adjourn. Respectfully Submitted, Sue LaCrosse City Liaison •
