Meeting Minutes
June 21, 1994
PRESENT: Kragness, Neilson, Ditty, Roen, Dorff, Graham, Bergeland, Buse and
LaCrosse.
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 a.m.
LaCrosse reported a balance of $8,322.75. LaCrosse passed out current budget sheets to
show committee chairs where they are financially.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: There was a motion by Ditty, seconded by Graham to
approve the minutes of June 14, 1994. Motion carried.
AMBASSADORS: No report.
ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR: Bergeland would like to have the restrooms moved to
the north end between the H & C barns. She asked for the white booth and registration
slips. There are 78 crafters and 5 food vendors. The entertainment schedule includes
face painting from 12:30-3 p.m. Friday and 11:30-2 p.m. Saturday; McGruff from noon-2
p.m. Friday, and 11-1 p.m. Saturday; Bingo the clown from 2-4 p.m. Friday; the Wendy
girl from 1-3 p.m. A Latin American Band will perform throughout the two days.
BARN DANCE: Volunteers will report at 6 p.m. Bergeland has a supervisor
for the concession stand.
BINGO: Need start up money. LaCrosse will check with Arnie to see if we can let
them use some start up money. Ditty said cost will be 2 cards for 25C or 15C each.
CAR SHOW: No report.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Ditty will sell shirts at the ice cream social.
JUNIOR ROYALTY: Graham reported the judging dinner had been held last night.
She said there are excellent candidates this year.
PARADE: All set.
PICNIC/GAMES: Dorff only has 10 volunteers and needs a couple more. Kragness
and LaCrosse said they could help if needed. •
PUBLICITY: LaCrosse asked what the committee wanted to do about registering
the Earle Brown Days logo trademark with the State. The committee decided they
wanted it exactly as shown on the new logo. LaCrosse said the cost is $50.
LaCrosse said Roen took some flyers out to the businesses and high rises. Roen said he
would be willing to take some more flyers out.
SUNDAY IN CENTRAL PARK: LaCrosse said the junior royalty should try to
be there at 6:45 p.m.
TALENT CONTEST: Neilson said the talent was excellent. Some winners will
perform at other events. To attract more entries, the contest may be moved to
Wednesday, Thursday, and the Monday of EBD week for the finals. There may be less
conflicts with dance recitals this way.
Swanson arrived at 8:37 a.m.
TEEN BOP DANCE: Ditty said the Lions will run the concession stand. The
substation will also have volunteers. The City will sweep the parking lot.

There was a motion by Neilson, seconded by Ditty to pay bills. Motion carried.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12 at 7:30 a.m. in
Conference Room A.
ADJOURN: The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
