Meeting Minutes
June 17, 1993
PRESENT: Kragness, Pollock, Dorff, Risley, Neilson, Graham and LaCrosse.
vieeiing was caiied to order at 7:35 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: There was a motion by Neilson, seconded by Risley to
approve the minutes of June 10, 1993. Motion carried.
TALENT CONTEST: Neilson reported the preliminaries were held Monday and
Wednesday evenings. There were 40 entrants. He will pick up trophies today. He has
announced that some will appear at Ice Cream Social, Barn Dance, and Sunday In
Central Park. There will be five judges tonight. LaCrosse will tabulate scores. The
sound person is excellent.
• PICNIC/GAMES: Dorff said he needs volunteers from Rotary. The Junior
Royalty will be there. There was a good response for prizes.
ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR: Pollock said Joann Fabrics will take fliers. LaCrosse
asked if we should wait until Bergeland is back to decide what to do with the food
vendor who dropped out. Kragness said yes.
PARADE: Risley said it is ready. He needs checks and will get the Lions Club cheek
toni Rht.
PUBLICITY: LaCrosse said the cable television ad is ready and we can watch it
after the meeting. The newspaper ads are all placed and the free publicity has been sent
out too.
Cohen arrived at 7:45 a.m.
BARN DAINCE: Kragness said she needs to get the food. She will get hotdogs, chips
and candy from the community center and buns, catsup and mustard from New Market.
AMBASSADORS: Cohen received a check for $50 from Leef Bros. LaCrosse
passed out sheets with Ambassador receipts. Total is $4,535.00 as of June 16, 1993.

JUNIOR ROYALTY: Graham said they are ready to go in the Tater Daze parade
tonight and will attend the talent contest as well. The first judging was Tuesday. They •
will be on Good Company next Tuesday. The candidates will attend most events. The
new royalty will attend Sunda In Central Park.

FISHING CONTEST: LaCrosse said Dorff has not gotten prizes for contest from
Zenanko yet. She would like to have the board approve the purchase of rods and reels
in the event we don't get them. There was a motion by Cohen, seconded by Risley to
purchase rods and reels for the fishing contest in the event they are not supplied by
Zenanko. Motion carried.

There was a motion by Cohen, seconded by Neilson to approve payment of these bills.
Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS: Kragness discussed the festival association. Further discussion on
Earle Brown Days becoming a member was saved until the next meeting.
NEXT TMEETING: TLESDAY,JUiNE 22, 7:30 A.M.,CITY HALL.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 a.m.
